THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Mathew Kuzhalnadan MLA taunted the CPM leadership to give an explanation in the wake of the central government ordering an investigation into Exalogic Firm, owned by CM Pinarayi Vijayan’s daughter Veena. Kuzhalnadan also pointed out the matters mentioned in the press release officially issued by the CPM state secretariat regarding the illegal salary case.
In the press release, the CPM said that there was nothing wrong as it was a transparent transaction between the two companies. Mathew Kuzhalnadan also asked whether Minister Riyas would still argue saying the case was a pointless political gimmick.
“CMRL was inflating costs and hiding profits. And that’s exactly what Exalogic did. KSIDC owns a 14 per cent stake in CMRL. A share of the profit is also owed to the Industrial Development Corporation. But CMRL concealed transactions worth crores of rupees and pocketed the money by diverting it. It is suspected that KSIDC was involved in this. Industry Minister P Rajeev must tell the public what was the position of KSIDC” MLS said.
“The minister should say what action was taken against the CMRL company which cheated the government by not paying the 14 per cent dividend it was entitled to. Despite credible evidence against the government, the central government is not ready to exercise its power. The ultimate justice should come from the court. I trust that the Registrar of Companies will bring out the truth through investigation. Exalogic has received funding from several companies. The money was taken without rendering the service. Exalogic also committed fraud by inflating costs and showing that CMRL was in loss. All the fight will be done from within the legal system” – Mathew Kuzhalnadan said.
