THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: More information mentioned in the FIR related to the Vizhinjam violence is out. The protesters threatened to set ablaze the police. The FIR said they held the police hostage and incurred a loss of Rs 85 lakh.A case has been registered for attempted murder and obstruction of work. A case has been filed against three thousand known people involved in the attacks. The reports that came in said no one has been named accused including the priests.
Meantime, ADGP M R Ajith Kumar informed that strict action will be taken in the case of attacking the police station. He said resorted to lathicharge after the protesters attacked the police for nearly three hours.
Meantime, four protesters arrested in Vizhinjam the other day were released on station bail. Selton, who was arrested first has been remanded. The other four came for his release.
