New Delhi: KPCC former general secretary Vijayan Thomas joined BJP. He received membership at BJP headquarters in Delhi on Friday at 6.30 pm.
Earlier, Vijayan Thomas had resigned from primary membership of Congress. As per reports, he is likely to be made a candidate in the upcoming assembly election representing BJP.
Even Congress does not have any idea of what is going on in the party. More veteran leaders of Congress will join BJP soon. Currently, Congress has hopes only in Kerala. Many senior leaders are preparing to quit the party and join the BJP. P C Chacko will soon join Left wing parties, Vijayan Thomas said.
He further explained that he quit the party not because he was denied seat in the election. Though Congress is contesting against CPM, they view BJP as the major opponent, Vijayan Thomas stated.
After resigning from Congress, Vijayan Thomas had alleged that groupism is strong in the party and that the candidates were selected as per religion and community equations.
