KOCHI: Opposition leader V D Satheesan said the decision to induct Saji Cherian into the cabinet is unjust. Saji Cherian’s speech is unconstitutional and that situation still exists. Vigilance investigation in the case is not satisfactory. Satheesan alleged that the chief minister intervened in the report. The opposition leader added that the matter is under the consideration of the high court and Saji Cherian should not be made minister without the court acquitting him.
‘Judicial proceedings in Saji Cherian case have not been completed. Why the hurry? If he has not criticized the constitution, then why did Saji Cherian resign? It is the court that has to decide whether Saji Cherian’s speech is unconstitutional or not and not M V Govindan,’ said Satheesan.
