Thiruvananthapuram: The depot manager at the Karunya Pharmacy in Thiruvananthapuram Medical College has been suspended pending investigation due to the unavailability of necessary medicine.On Wednesday night, Health Minister Veena George visited Karunya Pharmacy following a patient’s complaint that staff was not giving medicines. However, staff in Karunya Pharmacy told the minister that they had no medicine left in stock.The minister then went inside the pharmacy and checked the list of drugs on the computer. She also directed KMSCL to take stern action against the officials who failed to stock the essential medicines properly.Following these events, the depot manager was suspended on Thursday.
