Alappuzha: LDF convener A Vijayaraghavan has reacted to the draft law released by UDF in connection with Sabarimala temple issue.

He said that Congress’ lack of awareness regarding the differences between power enjoyed by state and central government and courts could be the reason why they took such an approach.

Everything will take place as per law. Vijayaraghavan asked using which law will the UDF implement the legislation that is currently sub judice. He said that legislation will not be possible on a subject that was being considered by the larger bench of the Supreme Court.

He said that this is part of Congress’ usual strategy to fool the public despite knowing the fact that such legislation will not be possible. This proves that Congress has a political leadership that meets their livelihood by deceiving the public.

UDF stated that it will pass a legislation to protect the temple customs in Sabarimala. Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan even released that draft law that they plan to implement. The draft law stated that those who violate the temple customs will receive up to 2 years of imprisonment and that the Tanthri will be the supreme authority of the temple.
