New Delhi: The Election Commission of India has scheduled the by-election to the Thrikkakara assembly constituency for May 31.
The votes will be counted on June 3.
The election notification will be released on Wednesday. Candidates can submit their nominations till May 11. Scrutiny is on May 12. The candidates can withdraw the nominations till May 16.
The by-election to the constituency in Ernakulam district was necessitated by the demise of Congress leader PT Thomas.
Along with Thrikkakara, elections to Brajarajnagar (Odisha) and Champawat (Uttarakhand) will also be held.
