Thrissur: Thrissur MP Actor Suresh Gopi received a warm welcome on Wednesday when he came to collect the certificate from the Thrissur Collectorate office. The actor-turned-politician was greeted by party supporters with turbans, saffron shawls and lotus.
He collected the certificate in the presence of BJP state General Secretary M T Ramesh from Collector Krishna Teja IAS. After this, he attended Manikandan Temple to perform a puja ritual.
Following that, a victory procession was conducted in Thrissur city from Swaraj Round to Sree Vadakkumnathan Temple. The roadshow organised by the BJP witnessed a massive crowd with more than 25,000 workers. The rally was also joined by BJP leader Shobha Surendran.
