Falling for the fifth straight session, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange declined 113 points, or 0.6 percent, to close at a nearly two-week low, at 20,570, today, on investors’ caution ahead of Reserve Bank’s monetary review policy.
The Sensex had lost 211 points in the previous four trading sessions. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange slipped 44 points, or 0.7 percent, to 6,101.
Stock markets in Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore gained between 0.1 percent and 2.2 percent.
