Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange tumbled by 215 points to 18382 in late morning trade today on persistent selling pressure in banking, capital goods, auto, PSU and realty sectors.
Earlier, the BSE benchmark plunged by nearly 222 points, to around 18,376 in opening trade
