The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange rose a marginal 11 points, or 0.1 percent, to close at a fresh three-year high of 20,894, after volatile trade, today.

The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange climbed 16 points, or 0.3 percent, to 6,205.

Stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong and Singapore added between 0.1 percent and 1.6 percent.
