Senior Congress leaders met in New Delhi on Friday night to discuss issues and programmes to be included in the party’s manifesto for the next general elections.

Defence Minister A K Antony chaired the first meeting of the party’s sub-group on manifesto and government programmes for the 2014 polls.

Party sources said, Mr Antony emphasized the need for wider consultations to decide upon the issues and programmes to be included in the manifesto.
