NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police will collect evidence in the Parliament security breach incident by taking the accused to various places. Bihar native Lalit Jha, the mastermind behind the incident, had surrendered before the police on Thursday night. He will be interrogated in detail by the anti-terrorist squad of the Delhi Police Special Cell. Following this, Lalit Jha will be produced in court and the police will submit an application seeking his custody.
The opposition will protest in the Parliament today demanding the response of Home Minister Amit Shah in the incident. Meanwhile, accused Sagar Sharma, Manoranjan, Neelam Devi and Amol Shinde were sent to police custody for seven days by the court.
The Centre has not responded on how accused Manoranjan and Sagar Sharma got the pass of BJP MP Pratap Simha to enter the House. On Thursday, 14 opposition MPs were suspended for making a ruckus in the Lok Sabha demanding action against Pratap.
