Rahul Gandhi’s car attacked, windscreen smashed; video emerges on internet

KOLKATA: As the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi was re-entering Bengal from Bihar, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s vehicle was pelted with stones in Malda in Bengal. Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary said that the windscreen of the car was broken in the attack.

The incident took place during a flag exchange ceremony as part of Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’s entry into Bengal from Katihar in Bihar. At this time Rahul was standing on top of the bus. A huge crowd had gathered at the place. Meanwhile, the rear windscreen of Rahul’s vehicle broke. The police claim that the glass was broken due to crowding.

Then Rahul Gandhi got off the bus and went near the car and checked it. Earlier, the Bengal government had denied Rahul Gandhi permission to stay at the irrigation department’s bungalow in Bhaluka in Malda district. Following this, the Congress changed the travel schedule.
