KOTTAYAM: The private bus strike which was planned to be held from Tuesday has been called off. The bus owners withdrew from the strike following discussions with Transport Minister Antony Raju. Meanwhile, bus owners said they would continue discussions with the government on issues including fare hike.

The strike was announced demanding a hike in ticket fares including that of students’ and subsidy on diesel.
