Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will handle Home and Vigilance departments in the next LDF government’s term.

KN Balagopal will be the new finance minister . P Rajeev will be the new minister for industries. V Sivankutty will be the minister for education.

Veena George will replace KK Shailaja as health minister in Pinarayi Vijayan’s new cabinet. R Bindhu will swear in as the minister for the higher education department.

The CPM state secretariat meeting held on Wednesday finalised the portfolio for the new ministers. The LDF meeting has directed Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to finalise the portfolio for each minister. There will be no change in the major departments possessed by CPM and CPI.

JD(S) MLA K Krishnankutty will replace MM Mani as minister for electricity. Senior leader K Radhakrishnan will swear in as minister for devaswom.
