Kollam: Putting an end to the mysteries over the death of an abandoned child, police identified the Facebook boyfriend of Reshma, the accused. It is confirmed that Reshma’s relatives Arya and Greesha who committed suicide impersonated a man named Anandhu with a fake ID and used to chat with Reshma.

Police confirmed this fact after interrogating a man who is Greeshma’s friend. He told police that Greeshma revealed to him that she has been cheating Reshma with the fake ID. This revelation has turned crucial in the investigation to find Reshma’s boyfriend.

The investigation team will record the confidential statement of Greeshma’s male friend.

The Police arrested Reshma, the mother of the child on June 22 over charges of abandoning the newborn baby in a garbage heap hidden in dry leaves. The baby boy who was found abandoned on January 5 died in hospital.

The DNA test results confirmed that Reshma is the biological mother of the child. She also confessed to the crime.

In the statement to police, Reshma revealed that she killed her newborn baby to elope with her facebook boyfriend. Following this, police started an investigation to identify the Facebook boyfriend.

It was confirmed that Reshma used a SIM Card registered in the name of her husband’s sister-in-law Arya. Identifying this, police summoned Arya for an interrogation. But Arya committed suicide along with a relative Greeshma by jumping into the river. Following this, the case turned more mysterious.

The suicide of the two women triggered many challenges in the case. Though Police only summoned Arya, she committed suicide along with Greeshma.

Following their death, police interrogated husbands of Arya and Reshma and recorded their detailed statements. Following this, the probe extended to Greeshma’s friend. Police collected crucial details in the case after interrogating this man.

Police found that Arya and Greeshma created a fake ID in the name Anandhu for time pass. It is also assumed that the duo was unaware of Reshma’s pregnancy and her decision to abandon the child.

According to police, the two women committed suicide fearing that they will get arrested.

Unfortunately, a time pass on Facebook has resulted in the death of three including a newborn baby.
