Police to register case against tattoo artist following allegations of sexual assault

KOCHI: Police will register a case against a tattoo artist who has allegedly sexually abused women while tattooing. Four women have lodged a complaint with the Kochi City Police Commissioner. The case is being registered at Cheranellore and Palarivattom police stations. The complaint is against Sujeesh, an artist from Inkfected Tattoo Studio in Edappally.

The girls had not come forward to lodge a complaint earlier in the incident. The girl, who first posted on social media, went to the police station with her parents yesterday and informed that there is no complaint. City Police Commissioner C Nagaraju had said that a probe would be held even if a complaint is received over the phone. Following this, four persons lodged a complaint and the police registered a case.

The other day, a young woman revealed that Sujeesh had behaved rudely and sexually abused her while she was getting a tattoo. After the girl’s allegations, others came to the fore with complaints. The girl went to the studio with her boyfriend to get a tattoo. The tattoo had to be done on the lower part of her back. Following this, Sujeesh took her to a room. The tattoo had to take a long time to finish, so she asked for a break as she was in excruciating pain, the young woman said in an Instagram post.
