THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Serial actress Aparna Nair’s suicide was received with shock in the industry. There were many conjectures about her death and many such unauthentic news found its place in social media. But now, the police FIR speaks volumes about the real reason for Aparna Nair’s suicide. According to the police, her husband was an alcoholic and this was taking a toll on her life. She feared getting sidelined by her husband while other family-related problems also added to her worries. The FIR was prepared based on the statement of Aparna’s sister.

Just hours before death, Aparna made a video call with her mother and talked about the small family quibbles alerting her. She was upset over her husband’s drinking habits and even told her mother that she would leave this place soon. According to her mother, Aparna cried over the phone while talking. Aparna was brought to a private hospital in Karamana Killipalam at around 7:30 last night. Her husband informed the relatives that she had hanged herself inside the room of the house.

Police have registered a case of unnatural death. Aparna, who was a receptionist at a private hospital in Karamana, resigned two weeks ago.

Over the years, she has acted in several films such as Megatheertham, Mudhugauv, Achayans, Kodathi Samaksham Balan Vakeel, Kalki, etc. She also appeared in television serials such as Chandanamazha and Atmasakhi. Aparna has two daughters – Thraya and Krithika.
