Poet and lyricist Beeyar Prasad passes away

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Poet and lyricist Beeyar Prasad (61) passed away. He was under treatment for quite some time. He belongs to Mankombu in Alappuzha. He was admitted to the hospital last November following cerebral hemorrhage.
He is also a dramatist and an orator. Prasad was one of the early television anchors. He became a film lyricist through Mohanlal’s Kilichundan Mambazham.
He was a known singer of Kuttanad. His songs Keranirakaladum, Oru Kathilola Mazhathullikal were well noticed. He had a kidney transplant two years ago. He fell ill when he reached Thiruvananthapuram to attend a channel programme.
