NEW DELHI: Lalit Jha, the mastermind behind the Parliament security breach, has surrendered before the police. According to reports, Lalit Jha himself reached the Kartavya Path police station in Delhi and surrendered before the police. A person named Mahesh was also with him. Five people were arrested in the case the other day.
Four of the accused in the case were sent to police custody for 7 days. It was Delhi Court Special Judge Hardeep Kaur who sent accused Sagar Sharma, Manoranjan, Neelam Devi and Amol Shinde to police custody. The Delhi police had sought custody of the accused for 15 days.
Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated that the security breach in Parliament was very serious. He also said that the opposition was playing politics on the issue. Amit Shah’s response came while the opposition was demanding the Home Ministry to give a statement in Parliament on the security breach.
