Monson Mavunkal gets life imprisonment for sexually assaulting employee’s daughter; Ernakulam POCSO court with verdict

KOCHI: Ernakulam POCSO court found conman Monson Mavunkal guilty on charges of sexually abusing a minor, who was the daughter of his employee. According to the verdict, Monson was served with life imprisonment and a Rs 525000 fine. The prosecution succeeded in proving 13 charges against Monson which included rape, and forced abortion. The court said all evidence proved right and the charges against the accused will remain intact. The trial procedures of the case began in 2022.

In 2019, Monson sexually abused a 17-year-old girl, who was the daughter of his women staff in the office. After the girl turned major, sexual abuse turned normal with the fraudster forcing the girl many times into the act, even at his office. Meanwhile, Monosn fought the charges saying all cases as fabricated, which he told were being directed at him after blackmailing police officers.

Almost 27 witnesses were involved in this case. Albeit the pressure, the girl’s family never went back from their accusations which proved costly for Monson Mavunkal. It was only after the fraudster’s arrest in 2021 November that the mother and daughter came forefront with the complaint against Monson.
