The Ernakulam family court on Monday granted divorce to actress Mamta Mohandas and Prejith Padmanabhan.  The court granted divorce on a mutual divorce petition moved by both of them.

Mamta got engaged to Bahrain-based businessman and her childhood friend Prajith Padmanabhan on Nov 11, 2011. They got married in Dec 28, 2011 at Kozhikode.

But things did not go well and they started living separately. The two filed for the divorce petition in January 2013.

Mamta made her debut in 2005 with Malayalam movie “Mayookham” directed by Hariharan.
