‘Let Oommen Chandy’s soul rest in peace’: HC dismisses Ganesh’s plea to quash solar conspiracy case

Kochi: The Kerala High Court has dismissed a petition filed by MLA KB Ganesh Kumar seeking to quash a case registered against him in connection with the alleged conspiracy against late Congress leader and former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy in the solar sexual assault case.Justice PV Kunhikrishnan also ordered Ganesh Kumar to appear in person in the lower court.

Considering the petition filed by advocate Sudheer Jacob before the Kottarakara First Class Judicial Magistrate Court against Ganesh and complainant in the solar sexual assault case, the local court had ordered the MLA to appear in person.

The HC observed that “the continuation of this case is necessary not only for the soul of the former Chief Minister and his grieving family but also to prove the integrity of the petitioner too. Let his soul rest in peace.”
The petitioner alleged that Ganesh and others had forged the complainant’s letter before submitting it to the solar case enquiry commission. The letter levelled sexual assault allegations against Oommen Chandy.
