LDF releases election manifesto; promises welfare pension of Rs 2500, pension for housewives

Thiruvananthapuram: The election manifesto of the Left Democratic Front was released on Friday. LDF convener A Vijayaraghavan stated that the manifesto was prepared, by taking up popular issues, aiming at continuity in governance.

The manifesto has two parts. The first part has 900 suggestions based on 50-points. More importance has been given to creating opportunities for educated youth. Projects to raise the income by 50 percent in agriculture sector and to upgrade the health and education sectors to international standards are also included.

Creation of 40 lakh jobs and Rs 5,000 crore coastal area development package are also included in LDF’s manifesto for assembly elections.
