Mesquite: Texas police arrested a 15-yr-old boy in connection with the murder of a Keralite at a beauty supply store here on Wednesday. The accused opened fire at Sajan Mathew during a robbery attempt in a shop here on Wednesday.

As the accused is a minor, police didn’t disclose his details. He has been charged with capital murder.

It is learnt that the accused barged into the shop around 1.40 pm on Wednesday and demanded money from Sajan who was at the counter. Later, he opened fire at Sajan.

Sajan Mathew (52) alias Saji, a native of Kozhencherry in Pathanamthitta, is settled in the US with his family since 2005. Sajan is one of the partners of the beauty supply store in Mesquite city.

He is son of late CP Mathew and Saramma at Cherukol in Pathanamthitta. He went abroad after completing studies at Kozhencherry St. Thomas College.
