NEW DELHI: The state government has decided to send home Malayalees coming from war-torn Ukraine to India free of cost to their hometowns. Venu Rajamani, special representative of Kerala in Delhi, said that he had received special intsructions from Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and the chief secretary in this regard.Two flights from Romania carrying Indians from Ukraine will reach today. One will reach Mumbai and the other in Delhi. The state government is ready to provide all facilities required by the Malayalees. A decision has been taken to provide accommodation in Delhi and then send them to their hometowns free of cost.The first batch from Ukraine is expected to reach Delhi by 4 pm today. They are coming to India from Bucharest, the Romanian capital. Venu Rajamani said that a group of 470 people comprising of 17 Malayalees will arrive in India. He further added that Russia need to end the war and prepare for talks with Ukraine.
