Kochi: Kavaratti police is interrogating filmmaker Aisha Sultana in connection with the sedition case. The interrogation is progressing at Aisha’s residence in Kochi.

A five-member team including Kavaratti SI reached Kochi on Thursday morning. Aisha Sultana responded that the police team arrived without informing her in advance.

Aisha was booked over sedition charges after she made some remarks during a channel discussion. Following this, BJP Lakshadweep unit filed a complaint against her and she was questioned twice in the island.

The police are investigating the financial transactions of Aisha and whether any outfits are assisting her and similar matters.
