Jamaat-e-Islami’s talks with RSS: It is better to dissolve organisation, says Samastha

Kozhikode: Samastha ridiculed Jamaat-e-Islami for holding a closed-door meeting with Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh (RSS) leaders in New Delhi.
Samastha’s leader Umar Faizi remarked that Jamaat-e-Islami should be disbanded and its members should join with Muslim public forum.

He pointed out that Jamaat-e-Islami should not lose their respect for the community over the fear that the central government will ban it.

“Jamaat-e-Islami leadership conducted held talks in such a manner that it tarnishes the dignity and pride of the community. Their action comes at a time when community organisations and secular forces in India are opposing BJP’s pursuits,” he said.

Earlier, the central government tried to ban some media houses. According to Faizi, the leadership has been caught by the fear that the central government will move to ban Jamaat-e-Islami itself. He claimed that Jamaat-e-Islami has gone to the discussion out of fear.
