It’s time to deliver the final blow to BJP in Jharkhand: Hemant Soren

Ranchi: Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren took a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) while addressing Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) activists on Saturday.

Soren’s remarks came just a day after the Jharkhand High Court granted him bail in connection with a money laundering case linked to a land scam. The court observed that he was prima facie not guilty, and there was no likelihood of the petitioner committing an offence on bail.

In his address to party workers after spending five months in jail, Soren asserted that it was time to put the last nail in the BJP’s coffin. He criticised the BJP for destroying the social fabric of the country and claimed that the people had taught the party a lesson in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He also dismissed the BJP’s hopes of winning the upcoming assembly elections in Jharkhand as ‘daydreams’.

Soren added that those who had hatched a conspiracy against them would soon get a befitting reply.

The JMM leader was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on January 31 in connection with its investigation into the money laundering case linked to the illegal possession of 8.36 acres of land.

He alleged that the BJP has controlled all constitutional establishments, but people taught them a lesson in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections.
