India were 157 for two in their first innings in reply to West Indies’ 182 all out in the second cricket Test in Mumbai today.
Playing his 200th and final Test, Sachin Tendulkar was batting on 38 while Cheteshwar Pujara was unbeaten on 34 at the Wankhede Stadium.
Earlier, Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni had won the toss and opted to bowl. India’s spin pair of R.Ashwin and Pragyan Ojha ripped through West Indies’ batting. Ashwin became the fastest Indian bowler to take hundred wickets in test cricket reaching the landmark with his 3 for 45. Pragyan Ojha claimed five West Indies wickets for 40. This is Sachin Tendulkar’s farewell series, as he has announced his retirement after playing this test.
