In Iraq, over 100 people killed as police and tribesmen battled al-Qaeda-linked militants

In Iraq, more than 100 people were killed as Iraqi forces fought with Al-Qaeda-linked militants who took over parts of Fallujah and Ramadi in the Anbar province.


According to reports quoting local officials, at least 32 civilians and 71 Islamist fighters from the terror outfit, Islamic State of Iraq and Levante or the ISIL were killed in the clashes.
