In-dining at restaurants: No decision taken in review meeting

Thiruvananthapuram: The Covid-19 review committee of Kerala did not take any decision on in-dining at the restaurants in the state. The committee also deferred the decision on extending the maximum number of passengers allowed in private buses.

However, the meeting decided against opening the cinema theatres. The restrictions will continue in panchayats wards with a weekly infection population ratio (WIPR) higher than 10. Earlier, this was 8.

As first dose of vaccination of those aged 18 years and above in the state is nearing 90 percent, antigen test in private labs has been stopped. Only RTPCR tests will be available from now onwards.
