THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Santhosh, the person accused of trespassing in a house in Kuravankonam and assaulting a female doctor in the museum was taken out for evidence collection. On Wednesday, the police conducted evidence collection at 12 pm with the accused at Kuravankonam. In between the procedure, Santhosh told the media that he did not do anything wrong and the police frame him in the case.

“I have a lot to say. I did not do this. My wife was threatened and made to agree to many things. A lot of evidence is being produced in my name. I have not done anything wrong.”, Santhosh said. But the police informed that there is clear evidence against the accused and he was arrested on the basis of this.

The police arrested Santhosh, a native of Malayinkeezhu on Tuesday. The complainant woman, who was assaulted near the museum, identified him as the culprit. The accused also trespassed into a house in Kuravankonam on the same day. After careful scrutiny of CCTV footage, the police came to the conclusion that both are one and the same. Santhosh had tonsured his head to change his appearance. The accused was arrested by the Peroorkada police seven days after the assault.
