Newdelhi: Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Dr E M Sudarsana Natchiappan has urged the opposition including BJP to support the government in passing important bills in the Monsoon session of Parliament. Speaking at a function in Tiruchirapalli last night, he said important bills like Land Acquisition Bill, Food Security Bill have to be passed.

Food security Bill will ensure subsidised food grains to 75 per cent of rural people and 50 per cent urban people. The Land Acquisition Bill ensures adequate compensation and consent of atleast 75 per cent of land owners for acquisition of land. The Minister pointed out that when Congress was in the Opposition it had helped to pass 113 bills brought by the BJP led government in Parliament.
