THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The division bench stayed the High Court single bench order to grant government financial assistance for payment of salaries to KSRTC employees. The division bench’s order comes in the government appeal that there is no obligation to pay the salary.

A single bench of the High Court ordered that Rs 103 crore should be allocated to KSRTC salary distribution before Onam. The order of the court was on the petition of the employees seeking payment of their salaries without delay.

‘KSRTC is just a corporation like other government corporations. Therefore, the government is not liable to pay salaries to its employees. Only the consideration given to other board and corporation bodies can be given to KSRTC’, the govt appeal reads.
