Ganguly, Gavaskar join Botham’s fundraiser walk on Colombo streets

Former India cricket captains Sourav Ganguly and Sunil Gavaskar today walked the streets of Colombo along with English cricket legend Sir Ian Botham on his fundraising trek.

The two Indian cricketing heroes had joined Sir Botham yesterday at Kandy, where they were cheered by hundreds of fans.
Botham has to maintain an average pace of 20 miles a day for eight days in tropical heat to reach Seenigama in the south of the country by 8 of November .
Botham has been taking part in walks for charity, but this is for the first time that he has organized a fundraising event in the sub-continent. The money raised will be used to help the poor children from rural areas.
