Five bodies recovered so far from ill-fated submarine Sindhurakshak

Mumbai: Search and rescue operations are continuing on INS Sindhurakshak, four days after it suffered an accidental fire and sank at Mumbai’s Naval Dockyard.

The Body of fifth Navy personnel was recovered on late Friday night, while 13 people are still missing and feared dead.

The Navy officials have declared that finding any survivor is unlikely. Navy PRO informed that efforts to trace and retrieve the other 13 bodies of sailors are underway.

AIR correspondent reports that the bodies extricated from the submarine have been sent to INHS Aswini, the Naval Hospital, for DNA identification.
