KOZHIKODE: Discussions on the dishes prepared in Oottupura stood ahead of the programme on the stages at the Kozhikode Arts Festival this time. To serve non-veg food along with veg food to children and only Mohanan Namboothiri given permission to prepare food were all discussed. Soon after the controversy, Mohanan Namboothiri has made it clear that he will no longer prepare food for the arts festival. He said the reason for this is that fear has gripped him and the situation in Kerala is like this now.

He told a private channel that even in the food prepared for the children in arts festival is sowed by the poisonous seeds of communalism and casteism. He said that he is not needed in such places. So far, have fed for more than two crore children during Kalolsavam. He said that it is enough for him to be happy in the rest of his life.

Meantime, Education Minister V Sivankutty said non-veg food will be served from next Kalolsavam. There was a last minute thought this time but was not able to include it. When the non-veg controversy arose, Pazhayidom Mohanan Namboothiri had initially said that he has cooks making non-veg food in his team.
