Encounter in Chhattisgarh, 30 Maoists killed by security forces, weapons seized

RAIPUR: 30 Maoists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Narayanpur, Chhattisgarh. The incident occurred during a joint operation by security forces in the Abujhmad forest area, along the Narayanpur-Dantewada district border, around 1 pm. Prior to the operation, special teams were dispatched to Govel, Nendur and Tultuli villages under the Orchha and Barsur police station limits on Wednesday, based on inputs about Maoist activity in the region.

The operation was launched jointly by the District Reserve Guard and the Special Task Force. So far 30 Maoists have been killed. According to the statement released by the police, a large cache of arms and ammunition was recovered from the encounter site.
