DYFI leader Abhijith suspended from party’s primary membership for allegedly misbehaving with woman activist

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: DYFI leader JJ Abhijith has been suspended from the primary membership of the party on the complaint that he misbehaved with a woman activist. Earlier, on the complaint of the woman worker, he was demoted to the branch committee.

At the same time, there were allegations that Abhijith had furnished wrong age to become SFI district secretary. As per Abhijith’s voice recording, CPM district secretary Anavoor Nagappan asked him to show an age lower than the actual. But Anavoor rejected this accusation. Earlier, the party had taken action against Abhijith after participating in the anti-drug campaign and appearing drunk in a bar.

The conversation in which Abhijith himself says that he is too old has come out.

This is the conversation in the voice clip-“I’m 30. This is my original age. This isn’t what I say outside. That is why I am in this organization. You can stay in SFI only till you’re 26. I have turned 30 this year. I was born in ’92. I have certificates showing date of births as ’92, ’94, and ’95. Nagappan sir told me that no matter who asks, I should say this. Pradeep sir also told me.”
