The death toll in Goa building collapse has gone up to 12. The six storeyed under construction building collapsed at Chavadi near Cancona in South Goa yesterday. More workers are feared trapped under the debris. 23 persons have been rescued so far. 3 of them are in serious condition at Goa Medical College hospital.

Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar last night visited the accident site. He promised stringent action against the builder and Town and Country Planning Department officials responsible for the structural fault.
