Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennithala said that the CPM leaders raise allegations about UDF-BJP alliance in view of the poll debacle they are likely to face in the upcoming local body elections.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, LDF convener A Vijayaraghavan and minister Kadakampally Surendran raise baseless allegations about UDF-BJP alliance fearing poll debacle. The LDF could not even present the CM as the icon before the public. So, they raise fake allegations, he said.
In fact, CPM and LDF are making secret deals with BJP all over the state. The independent candidates fielded by LDF is a trick to get BJP votes. CPM is fearing to give their party symbol to their candidates. So, the vote trade between CPM and BJP is clear from this, Chennithala said.
The chief minister has not made any statement against Prime Minister Narendra Modi yet. He remains silent about Modi and Amit Shah as a favour for helping him in Lavalin case. Both CPM and BJP are concerned about the UDF’s chances of victory in the upcoming polls. These fake allegations cannot sabotage the victory, he added.
