Conspiracy case: Dileep approaches HC requesting to quash FIR

Kochi: Actor Dileep has moved a fresh plea in the Kerala High Court requesting to quash the FIR in the conspiracy case against him. In the plea, Dileep argued that baseless allegations are raised against him over the case. The High Court has accepted the petition in file for carrying out a detailed hearing.

“ The case is fabricated and the probe officials are hunting me,” argued Dileep during the hearing into his anticipatory bail plea over the same case.
In the fresh plea, he claimed that the probe officials of the actress attack case are taking revenge on him.

Kerala High Court granted anticipatory bail to actor Dileep and four others in a case accusing them of threatening officials probing the 2017 actress assault and conspiring to eliminate them, saying presently there was no material to suggest criminal conspiracy or intimidation was committed by the accused. Pointing out this, Dileep argued that the court’s observations uphold his arguments.
Meanwhile, the probe team expect that they will obtain more evidence against Dileep and others over the conspiracy case after getting the results of mobile phones’ forensic examination.
