KOZHIKODE: Circle inspector P R Sunu, the accused in Thrikkakara gangrape case, has been directed to go on leave. Sunu, an inspector of Beypore Coastal Station, joined duty Sunday morning. When it courted controversy, the ADGP directed him to go on leave for a week.Departmental actions are being considered against Sunu, accused in six cases including sexual abuse. He had responded that he joined duty as the authorities were convinced of his innocence.Sunu had alleged that he does not know the complainant and that the case is fabricated. In the wake of the new controversies, the DGP had ordered to re-examine all the cases against Sunu. There were reports that the government has started taking action to terminate him from service.
