Lucknow: Centre has refused to release funds aout 2 thousand 763 crore rupees to Uttar Pradesh under the National Rural Health Mission programme for 2013-14.
It has cited non-fulfillment of certain conditions laid down by the Department of Expenditure.
According to Union Healthy Ministry sources, the state could not claim its share of funds last year also.
The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has written a letter to the Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh seeking his intervention so that the first tranche of funds could be released at the earliest for the programme.
