Kochi: The police have registered a case against Adv Sangeetha Lakshmana over a defaming post she put up on Facebook about SI Anie Siva. Ernakulam Central Police booked the case as per IPC 509 and IT Act.The Facebook post which was put up for insulting Anie Siva was widely discussed on the social media. Sangeetha individually attacked Anie Siva who managed to become a sub inspector fighting the odds in life. Several people harshly criticised Sangeetha through social media following this.

Anie Siva used to sell lemonade in Varkala for a living once. However, she worked hard and took charge as SI in the same place. Her life story was widely noticed after Mathrubhumi published a report on June 27. Currently, Anie Siva is working as SI in Ernakulam Central Police station.
