Bineesh Kodiyeri released from jail, says truth will prevail, case is political move against father

BANGALORE: Bineesh Kodiyeri, who was granted bail in a money laundering case related to drug dealing, has been released from jail. Bineesh, who was released from jail, responded that the truth will prevail. “I was jailed for refusing to say the names ED demanded. The case is a political move against Kodiyeri Balakrishnan. The biggest political party in India is behind the case”, Bineesh alleged.

Bineesh was granted bail by the Karnataka High Court on Thursday. However, his release from prison was delayed due to the last-minute withdrawal of bailiffs. By the time other people were brought in instead, it was too late for the trial court to issue the release certificate.

Bineesh was released from the Parappana Agrahara jail after serving a year in jail in connection with the case. The Karnataka High Court has granted bail under two bail sureties and an amount of Rs 5 lakh. There is also a condition asking him not to leave the country.
