Bengaluru: Bineesh Kodiyeri, who was admitted to a hospital amid interrogation by Enforcement Directorate after experiencing uneasiness, has left the hospital. Bineesh was taken back to ED office after 2.5-hour observation in ICU as he has to sign the statements after today’s interrogation. It is reported that Bineesh suffered from back pain due to sitting continuously for a long time.
It is also reported that he was not taken to any other hospital as he did not exhibit any severe health problems. Meanwhile, Bineesh’s brother and lawyser tried to meet him. However, they were not let inside. The lawyers alleged that the officers physically assaulted Bineesh.
Bineesh complained of uneasiness by 4 pm. Following this, it was the ED officers who took him to the hospital. This is the third day of interrogation by ED officers.
He will be questioned on Monday as well, which is the fourth and final day of his custody. ED has decided to take him to the court by Monday afternoon. It is unlikely that ED will ask for an extension of the custody period.
