Islamabad: In Pakistan, unidentified miscreants gunned down Awami National Party leader Najma Hanif in her house in Peshawar late Friday night. Police sources said, the gunmen opened fire at her after breaking into her home in one of the upscale Hyatabad neighbourhoods of Peshawar.

The sources said, the attackers managed to escape from the site. A Police official said, Najma Hanif was hit in the head and face and was received dead at the hospital.
